Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, number, or other term entered in a search box goes to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request under its own rules. Broomfield County Court Docket does not keep a local log of those query terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics logs can collect technical visit details.
- Device IP address
- Browser, version, operating system, and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring page or service, when available
- Date and time associated with a request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools help measure traffic, performance, and how pages are used. A browser can block cookies. Doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical data is used for ordinary site operations.
- Operating and securing the site
- Routing a chosen search to the provider that runs it
- Measuring useful pages and site performance
- Diagnosing errors and service problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Broomfield County Court Docket does not host, sell, or maintain a database of Broomfield case files or personal docket data. It publishes reference information about the Clerk of Court, Broomfield Combined Courts, Municipal Court, and Colorado Judicial Branch access routes. Colorado court access is governed by Judicial Branch CJD 05-01, while city administrative records use the Colorado Open Records Act and criminal-justice material may fall under CCJRA. Those government-record laws do not turn this private site into an official record custodian.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a partner tool is controlled by that company’s privacy policy, data retention choices, and sharing terms. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado courts, Broomfield offices, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Advertising partners may also use their own systems to measure activity across sites.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by:
- A search partner chosen by the visitor
- Analytics and site-performance providers
- Advertising networks serving site content
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for retained data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so an absolute promise against every breach is not possible.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Data identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted when a valid request brings it to our attention.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may allow a person to ask about data held by this site. The Colorado Open Records Act, CCJRA, and Judicial Branch CJD 05-01 govern specified government records and court access, not private visitor logs. Subject to the law that applies, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of retained personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Ask for deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices or legal duties change. A new version takes effect when posted here.
